CT Enterography

What is a CT Enterography?
CT Enterography is a CT exam specifically used to image the small and large bowel. CT enterography is performed to assess for the presence and extent of Crohn's disease and/or inflammatory bowel disease. The technologist will administer a specialized oral contrast that will need to be given at the office just prior to the exam. In addition to the oral contrast, IV iodinated contrast and rectal water enema will be given during the CT scan.
